Upcoming Former Ghosts shows

Hi.
I am back home in Los Angeles.

Here are some upcoming Former Ghosts shows.
Also, I have been seeing around the internet and getting emails with questions as to who is actually a member of Former Ghosts, etc. etc. and this confusion seems to be brought on by Nika not having been able to do the last U.S. tour with us. Nika is busy with university and was unable to do that tour due to scheduling conflicts so the line up of Former Ghosts for that particular tour was Jamie Stewart and myself.
Jamie Stewart and Nika Roza are without a doubt members of Former Ghosts.

Here are some upcoming Former Ghosts shows and the live set up that will be taking place at these shows including a short west coast tour with Cold Cave:

Nov. 23rd (freddy ruppert solo) @ Pehrspace in Los Angeles w/ Whitman
Nov. 30th (freddy ruppert solo) @ The Vera Project in Seattle, WA w/ Cold Cave
Dec. 1st (freddy ruppert solo) @ Rotture in Portland, OR w/ Cold Cave
Dec. 3rd (freddy ruppert solo) @ Bottom of the Hill in San Francisco, CA w/ Cold Cave
Dec. 4th (freddy ruppert solo) @ Eagle Rock Center for the Arts in Los Angeles, CA w/ Cold Cave
January 5th (nika roza + freddy ruppert) @ The Smell in Los Angeles, CA

tour diary

We are in Portland.

Hanging out with Zac, who is one of my favorite people in the entire world and whom I can never get enough of. He played some of the new Parenthetical Girls stuff for us which is insanely unbelievable and some of the best stuff I've ever heard.

Playing the shows has been a little hard to handle, but I knew this would happen. It always happens. On tour I am more interested in being in different cities, meeting and interacting with new people, visiting favorite things in the cities that I've been too before and miss when I'm gone, seeing old friends, and driving, than I am interested in playing the songs.

Last night after the show we went to Voodoo Doughnuts which I have been to every time I have been to Portland. I can't miss it. We decided to check out the new Portland location instead of the downtown one hoping it wouldn't be as crowded but that was not the case. As I have mentioned on here before I am obsessed with peanut butter. It is on my list of top five reasons to keep living. Voodoo Doughnuts has two really great peanut butter based doughnuts, one called the No Name and the other called the Old Dirty Bastard. But they were completely out of both of them!!!!!!!!! Oh well, it was stilll a good time.

Now it is time to have the always mentioned "Portland breakfast".

I think I could see myself living here. Maybe I will move here if I can't handle L.A. when I get back.
All of my hobbies are covered here: drinking, peanut butter, and hanging out with Zac.

tour diary

I am finally feeling better. I've been pretty sick the past four days or so.
We got into Spokane pretty early because the Vancouver show ended up falling through.

We made a movie day of it again.

I saw Where the Wild Things Are which I thought was pretty bland. I was surprised. I thought it was going to be a lot better. But I thought it was pretty bad.
Jamie went to see Whip It, which I got to see the tail end of which seemed better than Where the Wild Things Are. And then we both went and saw Inglorious Basterds which we enjoyed.

I'm getting a ton of weird feelings lately. Before I left for tour I could not wait to get out of L.A. due to a bunch of crazy circumstances. But the past couple of days I have been feeling a little home sick. It's strange. That maybe I can go back to Los Angeles and feel different again. That maybe I don't care anymore. That maybe I really just want the god damned potato tacos from El Atacor.

Home stretch.
We are on the west coast.
Seattle tonight.
